It’s Alright

Damn where do I start….. This past week/weekend was insane leading up to yesterday, we took mad promo pictures for the myspace which more will go up when we have the “real” layout up, right now we just have a temp layout. The band is stronger then ever still pushing under no management/no label….We are in process of working on new songs still pushing to drop the new album in Jan. We took pictures in Philly last Wednesday and Thursday and Momma Logan took the pictures…Big Ups to her they came out amazing!

Of course you know it was nothing but laughs….lol

Saturday c6 practiced practically all day for starland, was able to add something new to our song “Nostalgia” by mixing in Michael Jackson songs “I want you back” and “Give Me One More Chance” (R.I.P. Mike) then afterwards we went as a group to see “Transformers” in IMAX!! Personally I can say I enjoyed myself for several reasons….cant say the same for others lol

Sunday finally came time to pack up for Starland Ballroom and get the job done…..

(shake my head) lol

Over 300 bands competed in this competition, we were in like the top 30 something making it into the semi finals, and unfortunately we did not leave with the “W” for some inconceivable reasons. We had so much fun up there I cant even be mad, plus I enjoyed the underground game so much it was just great to be up on that stage esp. since I saw Senses Fail, Sky Eats Airplane, and few others on that very same stage. Like I said mentally the bands stronger then ever and ready to take on all stages put your feet in our shoes these last couple of months and you’ll understand why.

Tuesday was an amazing day, Dan, James, Harry, a few other guys, and I all went up to Pens Landing to see “311” in concert. It was a great day, we sat in line for 5 hrs….literally….but our spot was amazing couldn’t complain it was worth the wait……slash pain lol

That’s how close we were…. The first band was “The Expendables” some group out of Cali….they were surprisingly really good live haven’t got the chance to hear their recorded stuff yet…. The Second band was “Ziggy Marley” his band did very well…not really my cup or tea…but if I had a fat blunt of Mary Jane Id probably sweat them lol

Finally “311” gets on….one word…..Immaculate Sooooo good, I was inspired so much and you can tell they love what they do and do what they do out of love. Not allowing mainstream to dictate their lives and music. So money/time was not wasted!

All of this has really given me time to sit back and appreciate life and the little things in it…..I have an amazing band, amazing friends, with a pretty amazing life and it took awhile to get here….whither good or bad I’m thankful…im going to be fine…..Its alright!
